Content Curation & Copyright Policy
1. Purpose of This Newsletter
This newsletter curates and highlights publicly available information relevant to the government construction contracting industry, including federal, state, and local public works; military construction; procurement policy; regulatory developments; industry expert opinion; and related legal, business, and technical analysis.
Our objective is to:
Surface timely and relevant reporting and source material
Provide brief editorial context for industry professionals
Direct readers to original publishers and primary sources
This newsletter is intended to complement—not replace—original reporting and analysis.
2. Linking to External Content
We provide links to third-party content that is publicly accessible on the internet.
Links direct readers to the original publisher or author whenever practicable.
We do not bypass paywalls, subscription systems, or access restrictions.
All linked content remains the intellectual property of its respective rights holders.
3. Use of Excerpts and Summaries
When referencing third-party materials:
We primarily rely on original summaries written in our own words.
When excerpts are used, they are brief (generally one or two sentences) and limited to what is reasonably necessary for context.
Excerpts do not reproduce the core substance, technical analysis, or market-substituting value of the original work.
Quoted material is clearly identified as a quotation and attributed to the original source.
Our editorial approach is designed to encourage readers to review the full original work.
4. Images, Graphics, and Media
We respect the copyright and licensing restrictions applicable to visual and multimedia content.
We do not reproduce images, charts, diagrams, or graphics from third-party sources unless:
The content is in the public domain,
Licensed for reuse,
Used with explicit permission from the rights holder, or
If the foregoing are not practicable, the original creator is fully cited and a link is provided to the original source
Images used in this newsletter are original, properly licensed, or sourced from rights-cleared libraries.
5. Attribution and Credit
When referencing third-party content, we provide attribution that typically includes:
Author name (when available)
Publication, agency, or organization name
A direct link to the original source
Attribution is provided to promote transparency, professional courtesy, and proper sourcing.
6. Fair Use Statement
We believe our use of limited excerpts and summaries qualifies as fair use under applicable copyright law because such use is:
Transformative and contextual
Limited in quantity
Informational and commentary-based
Non-substitutive of the original publication
7. Corrections, Removals, and Rights Requests
We respect the rights of content creators and publishers.
If you are a rights holder and have questions or concerns regarding how your work is referenced, please contact us at gcbb@constructionautotech.com. We will promptly review the request and, where appropriate, revise or remove the referenced material.
8. Publisher Collaboration
We welcome collaboration, permissions, and licensing arrangements with publishers, authors, trade organizations, and agencies that serve the government construction contracting community.
9. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in law, editorial practices, or industry standards.
